The team behind Foxhill Bilingual International School

School Director and teacher

Philip Pearce

Hi! My name is Philip Pearce and I am extremely proud to say that I am the Director at our amazing school. I have worked at Foxhill since September 2023. I teach English, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Music, Digital Competencies and Ethics. My favourite part of my job is seeing our students have their “lightbulb moments” – when something just clicks and they completely understand a topic! Teaching at Foxhill is unique, inspiring and ultimately incredibly fun.

Head of Pre-school

Michaela Mairhofer

Hello! My name is Michaela Mairhofer. I have been working passionately as a kindergarten teacher since 2002, and I am delighted every day to foster and support the progress and development of the children. As a mother of two myself, it fills my heart with joy to lead the Foxhill Kindergarten daily.

Head of Primary and Primary school teacher

Annica Hein

Hello, my name is Annica. I have been at Foxhill since 2021, teaching primary school children in the subjects of German, Math, Science, and Ethics. No day at our school is the same, and that’s exactly what makes working together so exciting – often, the most valuable moments come from the unexpected and unplanned. For me, the relationship with the children is the most important thing. Only when this foundation is in place can learning truly begin.

Primary School Teacher

Miran

Dear Parents! My name is Miran, and I am a primary school teacher with an international background and a strong focus on holistic learning. I completed my teacher training in the Netherlands as part of the “International Teaching Education for Primary Schools” program – a course of study that shaped me not only professionally but also culturally. In recent years, I have worked at international schools in Germany, Austria, and Turkey, teaching children aged 3 to 14 years. As a native speaker of German and Turkish, with fluent English and solid Spanish skills, I bring a multilingual and global perspective to the classroom. It is important to me that every child feels safe and understood at school. I firmly believe that children need not only structure and space but also the freedom to develop emotionally, creatively, and intellectually. My goal is not just to impart knowledge, but to build trust and support the individual development of each child.

Pre-school teacher

Natalie Ann Hougnon

My name is Natalie Ann Hougnon, and I have both American and Luxembourgish heritage. Since September 2023, I have been an English Preschool Teacher at Foxhill Bilingual International School, working with children aged 3 to 6. I lived in Galway, Ireland, for over 12 years, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Children’s Studies, Sociological and Political Studies, a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Master’s in Social Work. I also completed a storytelling training program at Emerson College in East Sussex, igniting my passion for sharing stories with children. After my studies, I worked as a social worker on the Children in Care team in Ennis, Ireland, and in child protection in Ireland and Austria. I am honored to be part of the Foxhill Preschool team. Early childhood education is my passion, and I consider it a privilege to guide children through this remarkable stage of discovery.
